Jesus Christ is the holy divine soul. Christians see him as a son of God. Jesus Christ was born during the life and reign of Herod the Great who ruled Palestine at the end of the 1st Century B.C. on the 25th of December, which is celebrated by Christians every year in remembrance of the day Jesus Christ was born. It is believed that he came into the world to teach people the difference between sin and purity. He was a religious leader and whole of the Christianity revolves around his teachings.
According to Christians, Jesus is considered the incarnation of God and his teachings are followed as an example
Birth of JESUS
Jesus was born to a virgin, Mary. Mary was to be married to Joseph, a carpenter. She was visited by an angel Gabriel who told her that she was chosen to give birth to the Son of God. Jesus was born in a stable in Bethlehem and his childhood home is represented as Nazareth in Galilee.
# LAST SUPPER
#JESUS CRUCIFIXION
Jesus is whipped and then, to mock the claim that he is 'King of the Jews', given a crown of thorns and dressed in a purple robe. Jesus carries his cross to the place of crucifixion, helped by Simon of Cyrene. According to the New Testament, Jesus was crucified at a spot outside Jerusalem called Golgotha, which in Aramaic means “place of the skull.”The cross symbol is most important for Christians as it reminds the crucifixion of Jesus. The cross is a symbol of hope; sacrifice and freedom.
#HOLY SYMBOL CROSS
Jews not only punished him severely but ordered for him to be crucified. Jesus was nailed and crucified on the cross which later became a holy symbol for Christians. The method of execution restricted the airflow to his lungs, killing him in three hours. Jewish temple that he had planned to destroy was unfortunately ripped apart by an earthquake soon after his death. Jesus’ followers took his body to a tomb from where he apparently rose three days after his death, called as ‘Resurrection of Christ’
25Th December- Importance
The earliest source stating 25 December as the date of birth of Jesus is likely by Hippolytus of Rome, written very early in the 3rd century, based on the assumption that the conception of Jesus took place at the Spring equinox which he placed on 25 March, and then added nine months. Christmas is an annual festival commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ, observed primarily on December 25 as a religious and cultural celebration among billions of people around the world.
